One question I get is whether are not you should lift weights if you train in martial arts.

Yes, lifting weights can complement and enhance the training of martial arts. It can improve strength, power, endurance, and overall fitness. However, the specific lifting program should be tailored to the individual's goals, taking into account the demands of their martial art and the need for balanced development to avoid imbalances or injuries. It is recommended to seek guidance from a qualified trainer or coach.
However, if you are taking time from your training to lift or you are too tired to practice then I would say you are not ready to lift weights and train in martial arts.
