A child that can’t focus can’t learn very well. They will have a poor memory and less understanding of the material being taught. If the problem keeps up, their grades suffer, their confidence suffers, and they suffer.
Fortunately, there is a cure.
Focus is a skill and a skill can be taught, it can be improved, and it can be increased.

A confident child makes better decisions. Makes better friends. The confident child has higher self-esteem.
A child with healthy confidence is easy to spot. Unfortunately, so is the child that lacks confidence.
One of the best things we can do for our children is to get them involved in positive activities that they like and that they can get good at. This goes a long way in building their confidence.
